Pump Technician/Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for a Pump Technician/Mechanic to join our Warrnambool team. This full-time role provides a quality installation and repair service to our customers both in the workshop and onsite. As our pump specialist, you will also work with our supplier to manage the warranty claims and provide sound advice to customers in pump sales.

While experience in the irrigation or plumbing industry is a bonus, we recognise transferable skills and will invest in training the successful candidate. What is essential is a positive, can-do attitude and a strong focus on customer service.

This role would suit a proactive team player who enjoys problem-solving and can efficiently manage their time.

This role is initially offered as a 12 month, fixed-term contract; however, there is potential for this role to convert to a permanent opportunity.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Assess and repair pumps on & off-site
• Install new pumps for house, commercial, bore & farm applications
• Provide reports on all necessary work, service or repairs
• Build positive relationships with customers and co-workers
• Assist with new pump sales
• Maintain a safe working environment through the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment
• Demonstrate behaviours that align with company policies and organisational values

Skills and experience

• Trade qualification as a Mechanic is not required, mechanical aptitude is essential
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role would be advantageous
• Current Australian manual driver's licence
• Previous experience with small motor repairs would be highly valued
