Seven West Media is seeking a commercially minded media strategist to work within our high-performing Strategy team.  



This newly created role bridges research, insights and strategy turning audience data into powerful commercial stories. Sitting at the intersection of content, sales, marketing and product, it's ideal for someone with a background in media planning, audience strategy, integration or research who thrives on collaboration and big-picture thinking.  



You will help shape market-leading media solutions working closely with internal teams to craft insight-led narratives that drive results.

About the role:  

  • Lead the development of strategic, insight-led commercial proposals  
  • Translate audience data into compelling stories that drive revenue  
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product and content teams  
  • Support the Head of Strategy on commercial and audience initiatives  
  • Craft high-impact presentations and strategic documents  
  • Mentor junior team members and champion best practice  
  • Stay across media trends and audience behaviours  
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment


About you  

  • 5–8+ years in strategy, media planning, research or audience-focused roles 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into strategy  
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills 
  • Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
  • A solid understanding of the Australian media landscape  
  • A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills  
  • High attention to detail and the ability to juggle priorities
