Vase Life Technician

Lynch Group is seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Quality Technician.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a scientific, hands-on environment and is driven by quality, precision, and a love for plants and flowers.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in maintaining and executing vase life testing programs across floral and potted products, supporting our Approved Supplier Program, research initiatives, and quality assurance priorities.

This includes maintaining laboratory standards, compiling reports, and collaborating with national teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain vase life testing and laboratory duties

• Maintain photographic records and national vase life database

• Assist in experimental design and reporting for quality and ESG initiatives

• Support coordination of activities across multiple business units

• Ensure lab cleanliness and readiness for stakeholder visits

• Participate in national quality and technical team operations

• Uphold safety, environmental, and compliance standards

• Be responsive during peak floral events (e.g. Mother's Day, Christmas, Valentine's Day)

Some travel nationally may be involved

Safety & Compliance

• Uphold ISO 9001 / HACCP, SQF, and HARPS standards

• Promote safety, environmental care, and compliance

• Report hazards, incidents, and suspected modern slavery concerns

• Follow all company policies and wear PPE as required

About you:

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Ability to multitask and work independently

• Detail-oriented with a passion for plants and flowers

• Skilled in report creation and photographic documentation

• Calm under pressure and committed to excellence

• Quality management in horticulture or floral supply chains preferred

• Familiarity with potted and floral consumer product is idealistic but not essential
