About the Role

Alliance Airlines is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Component Technician (Wheelbay) to join our dynamic maintenance team in Brisbane. This role is responsible for carrying out maintenance, repair, and testing of aircraft wheel and brake assemblies in accordance with approved maintenance manuals and company procedures.

The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of Alliance's fleet by maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble, and test aircraft wheel and brake components.
• Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with relevant manuals and procedures.
• Identify and order required parts accurately and promptly.
• Comply with company policies, including safety, security, and quality standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and workplace safety activities.
• Maintain compliance with occupational health and safety (WHS) and environmental standards.
• Promote safety and security reporting through IQSMS.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Secondary education and a minimum 'C' Class driver's licence.
• Experience or training in aircraft component maintenance (preferred but not essential).
• The ability to use measuring tools such as micrometres (highly regarded).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• A self-motivated and proactive approach with a strong customer service focus.
