Position Overview
We are seeking passionate and motivated staff to join our team as Social Workers and Residential Care Officers. Whether you are a qualified professional or a student/early career worker eager to learn, Bridges Care provides a supportive environment where you can develop your skills and make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management, advocacy, and therapeutic support (Social Workers).
- Deliver daily living assistance, supervision, and personal support (Residential Care Officers).
- Support the development and implementation of individual care and behaviour support plans.
- Promote residents' independence, wellbeing, and community participation.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with clients, families, and carers.
- Work collaboratively with allied health professionals, support staff, and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Uphold NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies, and the AASW Code of Ethics.
- Assist in service growth by building networks, contacting other providers, and supporting referrals to attract new clients.
What We're Looking For
- Social Workers – Degree in Social Work (eligible for AASW membership) OR students who are enthusiastic, willing to learn, and motivated to support client growth.
- Residential Care Officers / Students – Currently studying or recently graduated in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, or a related field.
- Passion for working with people with disability and/or mental health needs.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Resilience, empathy, and commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- Flexibility to work across day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts.
Essential Requirements
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- National Police Check (within the last 6 months).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Driver's licence (optional)
