Nutrition Systems is on the cutting edge of the health, fitness and nutrition industry. As a company Nutrition Systems is committed to providing the Australasian market with the most up to date products, representing the latest in sports and sports supplement technology.

Based in East Perth we are seeking a full-time Assistant Accountant to join our small friendly Finance team. This role will initially be a 12mth maternity cover, with the potential to be converted to Permanent Full Time at end of the contract based on performance. You will help manage the day to day accounting requirements of the companies in the Nutrition Systems Group.

This fast-paced and highly varied role would include but will not be limited to;

  • Help manage the inventory receiving process
  • Monthly preparation of business activity statement
  • Maintenance of multiple bank accounts
  • Maintain international payments and supplier claims
  • Complete month end procedures
  • Preparation of month end reports, plus ad hoc reporting as required by management
  • Analysis as required by other departments
  • Offer head office support for our New Zealand based operations
  • Weekly payroll function, as well as month end payroll reconciliation, payroll tax lodgement etc

The successful candidate will have:

  • University degree in Accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fastidious attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Superior interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Willingness to be part of a team
  • Permanent Australian residency essential
  • Minimum of 1-2 years previous accounting experience preferred
