The Opportunity

Join our dynamic finance team in
Perth CBD
where you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment. This is a 9-month maternity cover contract.

Responsibilities

  • Processing daily banking transactions.
  • Preparing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Preparation and posting of month-end journals, including payroll journals, expense accruals and prepayments.
  • Ad-Hoc project work and involvement with continuous improvement of processes.
  • Assist Accounts Payable team as and when required.
  • Prepare monthly reports for internal & external stakeholders.
  • Assist and support FP&A Partner with month-end accounting and reporting.
  • Reconciliation and processing of complex supplier invoices.
  • Assist with monthly corporate credit card processing.
  • Ensure that all Financial Accounting is conducted in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Provide coverage of relevant key positions in the business unit as required, such as in the event of annual leave or other absences, ensuring that all handover notes are adhered to, and outstanding tasks completed in a timely manner.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting.

Qualification Required

  • Tertiary qualification in accountings is essential.
  • Charted Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is essential.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated accounting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial reports.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong Accounting, Taxation knowledge and large ERP system exposure.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism in all work.
