experienced professional who can strengthen our compliance and approvals capability.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a
pivotal role, responsible for progressing our active projects through the approval stages and
acting as the key point of contact for both clients and consultants.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience working with a Local Council,
Certifier, or a Project Home Company (particularly within a compliance team). Strong
knowledge of planning regulations, DA/CDC requirements, and residential compliance
processes is essential.
You will play a pivotal role in overseeing project approvals, ensuring regulatory compliance,
and managing the end-to-end coordination of documentation across multiple stakeholders.
Working closely with our director and senior designers, you'll be responsible for:
Coordinate and manage the progress of active residential projects from concept
through approvals
Leading communication with councils, certifiers, consultants, and engineers
Overseeing DA/CDC approval processes and ensuring compliance with planning and
building codes
Liaise with external consultants (engineers, surveyors, BASIX assessors, etc.)
Preparing, reviewing, and managing project documentation, drawings, and schedules
Track timelines, approvals, and deliverables to ensure projects progress smoothly
Support the design team with project administration and compliance guidance
Coordinating with builders, developers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of compliance and approvals across a
variety of residential and commercial projects, while being a key point of contact for
regulatory bodies.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years experience with Council, Certifier, or Project Home compliance
team (essential)
Strong knowledge of planning regulations, building codes, and approval processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with clients, councils,
and consultants
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-driven approach
Proficiency with REVIT or similar BIM software is essential
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
