We are expanding across NSW and seeking a Project Manager on a full-time basis to lead our growth and operations in NSW. Our office is based in Wetherill Park, NSW.

As the Project Manager, you will oversee multiple large-scale electrical projects across the state and beyond. Your core responsibility is to lead teams, deliver exceptional project outcomes, and align operations with Mega Electrics' strategic growth targets. Reporting to the NSW State Manager, you'll also play a key role in business development, client relationships, and expanding our control and PLC branch.

Duties & Responsibilities

Project & Technical Leadership

  • Provide strong, on-site leadership to project teams, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Manage medium voltage electrical installations, shutdown works, and large-scale system builds.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, quality assurance, WH&S compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Interpret and work with electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Support and assist in research, testing, estimation, and installation of complex electrical systems in line with Australian Standards.
  • Undertaking electrical functions such as installing assemblies for protection relays, metering and indicating devices.
  • Design inspections and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations

Operational & Commercial Management

  • Approve and manage tender submissions and procurement planning.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on project KPIs, WIP reports, and monthly claims.
  • Collaborate with estimators and operations to ensure resourcing aligns with project needs.
  • Manage project contracts, vendor relationships, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Collect data, perform tests and complex calculations, graph results, and prepare charts and tabulations.

People & Performance

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and high-performance culture across teams.
  • Promote WHS standards and ensure staff follow correct PPE usage and site protocols.

SimPRO & Systems Integration

  • Operate and manage SimPRO for scheduling, estimating, work order creation, and job tracking (training provided).
  • Coordinate with Accounts, Operations, and internal departments to streamline workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in electrical project management.
  • Electrical Engineering Technician or Electrical Engineering background (desirable).
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of electrotechnics, Australian Standards, MV installations, and control systems.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High-level proficiency in project planning, documentation, and reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to motivate and lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Licensing

  • Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification or trade certification.
  • Project Management certification (desirable).
  • Valid NSW Electrical Licence or ability to obtain (if applicable).
  • WHS Construction Induction (White Card).
  • Driver's Licence (essential).
