Description:

As an Operations Supervisor at Perfection Fresh Australia, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operations of the Trading Floor located in Homebush Markets. This permanent, full-time position within the Logistics department offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our trading activities. **Key Responsibilities: **

  • Supervising and coordinating daily operational activities on the Trading Floor.
  • Managing a team of operational staff to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational tasks.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring accurate stock management.
  • Collaborating with other departments to streamline logistical processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in operational processes and implementing solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the trading environment.

**Main Tasks: **

  • Oversee the receiving, storing, and dispatching of products within the Trading Floor.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and support to operational staff, including training and development initiatives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and generate reports on operational KPIs for management review.

Skills and Experiences:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a fast-paced logistics or trading environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in utilising relevant technology and systems to track, analyse, and report on operational performance
  • Sound decision-making capabilities and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges efficiently
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure work environment
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding quality standards across all operational activities
