ABOUT THE ROLEThe College seeks an experienced Payroll and Finance Officer to join the busy Finance team in a permanent full-time position.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other members of the Finance team to process the College's fortnightly payroll and managing the day-to-day financial operations of the College.
Key Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are not exhaustive but are indicative of the scope and nature of the role.
- Prepare and process fortnightly payroll in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
- Perform complex payroll calculations and processes in accordance with legislation and Enterprise Agreements.
- Utilise a high degree of initiative and discretion to provide confidential support to the Finance Manager.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely completion of the accounting functions of the College.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Proven expertise in end-to-end payroll operations within a medium to large organisation.
- Qualifications in Accounting are desirable but not essential.
- Advanced capability in interpreting and applying industrial instruments, legislation and organisational policies.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise and coordinate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
