Leasing Administrator (Contract – Casual, Part-Time)
Location: Chermside Health Hub, Brisbane
Tenure: Casual Contract | 7 Months (office closed over Christmas break)
Hours: 4–5 hours per day
Hourly Rate: $35 - $50 + Super per hour (depending on experience)

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Leasing Administrator to join our team on a casual contract basis for 7 months, working 4–5 hours daily from their office in Chermside. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and lease administration experience—ideally with a background in retail leasing, shopping centres, or paralegal work—who is confident managing tenant and legal stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and coordinate execution of lease-related documents including Agreements for Lease, Licences, Variations, and Surrenders.
- Maintain and update lease databases, tracking key milestones such as critical dates, rental payments, options, expiry dates, insurance certificates, and bank guarantees.
- Liaise with tenants, solicitors, and agents on lease administration matters and support Leasing Executives by drafting heads of agreement and compiling due diligence packs.
- Coordinate tenant handovers with asset managers and assist with tenant communications during development and handover phases.
- Track and report on leasing status, occupancy, and revenue projections, providing updates to management and development teams.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems, prepare correspondence and reports, and support broader property management functions as required.
Skills & Attributes
- Sound understanding of commercial leasing principles, relevant legislation, and retail tenancy laws (Queensland preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational/time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and lease management systems.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and solutions-focused approach.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–3 years' experience in lease administration, leasing paralegal, or property administration (retail or commercial).
- Experience with property developers, landlords, or commercial agencies is highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in property, business, or law are desirable but not essential.
