Job Description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Canberra team, a close-knit group of passionate professionals who genuinely care about each other and the community we serve. If you are are someone with a profesional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counsellinginterested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector,this role could be for you

In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals where you can provide holistic support to clients and providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve positive return to health and return to work.

Some of your day to day includes:

  • Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks)
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments.

We welcome new graduates to apply  Permanent Full Time position or min Part Time 4 days.

Qualifications

You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling;
  • General or ProvisionalAHPRA registration or Full ASORC Membership
  • Strong interpersonal skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent Time management and organizational skills
  • Empathy, paired with genuine compassion and kindness, makes all the difference in this role.
  • Patience and resilience - essential for navigating challenges and supporting clients through their recovery journey
  • A current Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must
