About the role

Kingsford Lawyers' is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Solicitor to join our dynamic, fun and fast paced team in Ashmore, Queensland. This is a full-time role where you will play a pivotal part in providing specialist legal advice and representation to our clients navigating complex family law matters.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, property settlements, child custody and maintenance
  • Deliver tailored legal strategies and advice to clients, ensuring their interests are protected
  • Represent clients in court, negotiations and mediations
  • Conduct legal research, draft agreements and other documentation
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the family law team
  • Collaborate with the wider legal team to achieve the best outcomes for clients

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years' post-qualification experience in family law
  • Excellent knowledge of family law legislation, case law and regulations
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with experience representing clients in court where needed and when counsel is not briefed
  • Ability to provide clear, empathetic and commercially-minded advice to clients
  • Effective time management and organisation skills to manage a varied caseload
  • Collaborative approach and commitment to mentoring junior team members
