Position available for a Dental Assistant or Dental Receptionist.

We are looking for a hard-working and friendly individual who is passionate about working in a team environment and providing exceptional patient care. Although experience is preferred, it is not essential.

We are a private family-run two surgery dental practice in the heart of Ashmore, Gold Coast. Our practice offers modern, fully computerised facilities in a relaxed, team orientated environment. Our practice is an accredited dental practice.

Details of the role:
25 - 38 hours per week MUST be available on alternating Saturdays and 2 evening shifts till 7pm per week.

Ideally, available for an immediate start.

As much as the role will be predominantly as a dental assistant, the role will also require you to develop/demonstrate skills in reception duties and be willing to work in all aspects of the practice.

The role includes;
- Maintain infection control and sterilisation standards
- Be versatile throughout the practice working chairside with all 4 of our dentists as well as on reception
- Be responsible to upkeep and maintenance of equipment (senior role)
- Maintain stock for the practice through liaising with external suppliers (senior role)
- Be positive, reliable and passionate about delivering exceptional healthcare.

What we are looking for;
- Ideally 2 + years experience working in a general dental practice is preferred, but not essential
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting is preferred, but not essential
- Gentle and empathetic nature to communicate with care and understanding to patients and fellow staff.
- Someone that can communicate effectively with care and understanding to patients and fellow staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a team orientated environment
- An understanding of infection control processes and the ability to adhere to stringent guidelines.
- Someone that can utilise their amazing time management skills in a fast paced environment

Pay rate will vary depending on the applicant, you will be paid the appropriate level in the Health Professional and Services Support Award

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: From $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ashmore, QLD 4214: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
