About The Role
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, the Area Manager will lead a team of Stores to support the delivery of world-class standards in our stores across NSW (CBD and regional) and drive consistent delivery of the Officeworks vision and strategic objectives by guiding, coaching and motivating stores in operational, financial and people performance. You will take an active role in helping shape the strategic direction and focus of your area group alongside the People, Safety & Central Operation teams.
The Area Manager ensures that store leadership and team behaviour is aligned to Officeworks cultural imperatives.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Excellence in people management and the effective control of inventory.
- Drive, coach and deliver exceptional customer service standards for your stores.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by recommending strategies to improve performance across sales, staff, stock & systems.
- Performance Management through achieving KPI targets and ensure staff are aware & trained on the importance of KPI targets and goal setting to achieve them
About You
An inspirational leader with a minimum of 5 years' experience in multi-site accountability within the retail industry. You will have demonstrated success in sales and profit accountability, operational execution of merchandise standards and a be led by their ability to guide coach, develop and mentor the area store leadership team.
