Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the transition and stabilisation from an in-house SOC to an outsourced SOC provider.
- Uplifting SOC capability, including incident response, detection and response.
- Driving the improvement of Microsoft Sentinel capability, ensuring effective log ingestion, building use cases, and validating operational effectiveness.
- Coordinating across the internal security operations team, and multidisciplinary delivery team including architects, engineers, and cyber business analysts.
- Managing relationships with senior stakeholders, the Head of SOC, and external managed service partners.
- Providing clear direction, fostering collaboration, and not shying away from difficult conversations to ensure delivery outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Strong experience in Security Operations, particularly leading SOC transitions (in-house to outsourced).
- Demonstrated expertise in SOC uplift projects.
- Hands-on experience uplifting SIEM platforms (ideally Microsoft Sentinel).
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including external vendors and consultancy partners.
- A personable leadership style - confident, engaging, and able to influence without direct authority.
- Industry experience within complex large-scale enterprises.
What's on Offer
- 12-month contract with potential extension.
- High-impact role within a major security transformation program.
- Flexible working environment (3 days in-office).
- Opportunity to work with a strong, collaborative team and external partners.
