Relief Chef Manager
looking for

employment working at one of our Mining Villages in the
Pilbara region, WA 6760
This position is
FIFO Ex Perth
on a
requires the flexibility to work a swing of up to 8 days on, 6 days off
roster commencing
ASAP.
Role Requirements
- Trade Certificate, Cert III or Cert IV in commercial cookery
- 5+ years experience managing high-volume meal service in remote FIFO/DIDO mining villages or industrial camp settings.
- Ability to handle large-scale catering (300+ residents), including shift-based meal rotations (breakfast, crib, dinner, night shift).
- Proficient in rostering, delegation, conflict resolution, and driving a high-performance culture under pressure.
- Experience developing rotating menus that meet client nutritional, cultural, and dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free).
- Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and compliance (HACCP, FSANZ, AS/NZS ISO 22000:2018).
- Familiarity with food delivery logistics, cold chain compliance, and working with procurement systems (e.g., SwiftPOS, MEX, or similar).
- Ability to manage food budgets, control food cost percentage, and reduce wastage while maintaining quality.
- Proven experience in aligning kitchen operations with financial targets and KPIs.
- Clear communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with operations managers, camp managers, clients, and HSEQ teams.
- Comfortable using digital tools for stock control, safety inspections, rostering, and reporting (e.g., tablets, apps, ordering platforms).
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or international equivalent).
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
- Manual Handling (preferred)
- Valid C class WA Driver's License
- Current National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol tests (LABDAS)
