Specialist IT Lead I

We are seeking a committed IT specialist to oversee geographically dispersed teams, responsible for stability, performance and security of IT infrastructure. Reporting to the Client Services Manager, you are tasked with operational excellence, supervision of a global team of IT support professionals and assistance with escalated complex technical support requirements.
This role suits someone who relishes working in a fast-paced environment, has a high energy level and is committed to service excellence. You have a passion for technology, enthusiastic and adaptable to new tools and challenges. Your background in a similar role that manages geographically dispersed teams and swift response to time critical issues are of significant interest.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and problem determination/resolution for escalated concerns of a complex nature
- Manage and co-ordinate across teams for resolution matters
- Liaise with and maintain constant communication between development team and customers for corrective action plans
- Support end users over various remote platforms, general applications and workplace equipment
- Contribute to projects by implementing technical solutions, managing infrastructure, troubleshooting issues and coordinating tasks to meet project goals and timelines
- Procure IT equipment and work with external vendors for related infrastructure, network and security matters
- Develop user training materials and provide continuous assistance to help customers maximise new technologies
- Document recurring problems and resolutions to implement preventive measures
- Manage and direct work for the team including recruitment, training and staff development
About You
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or IT
- ITIL, MSP Certification
- MSCE, CCNA Certification
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Computing skills in ASP, HTML, OS, IOS
- At least 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure and application support with multiple platforms in a global support operations role
- Experience in a technical support environment with intermediate networking PC, and products knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills with demonstrated ability to handle escalation issues and outages
- Outstanding written and spoken communication, including the ability to adapt communication to different technical and non-technical stakeholders, and the confidence to present information effectively
- Proactive approach in taking initiatives to resolve complex technical problems, including implementing preventive measures to protect the IT infrastructure
