About the role
Lead Retail Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a fashion clients finance team on a short term contract basis with a view to extend. Immediate start
Based in the Sydney offices of this amazing fashion brand, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timely reconciliation of banking transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your strong accounting and financial administration skills within a fast-paced retail environment.
What you'll be doing

Reconciling daily and weekly banking transactions across multiple bank accounts

Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or unmatched transactions
-
Preparing detailed reconciliation reports for management review
-
Assisting with month-end accounting processes
-
Providing support to the broader Accounting team as required
What we're looking for
-
Minimum 2 years' experience in a banking reconciliation or similar accounting role

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data

Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial administration
