We are seeking an experienced Senior Casualty/ Liability Underwriter to join our Major Accounts Division. In this key role, you will support profitability and service excellence while building strong relationships with major clients and brokers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal premium budgets and negotiate profitable transactions.
  • Underwrite new risks and renewals within the Casualty portfolio.
  • Provide technical leadership and collaborate with product managers on complex accounts.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Manage client relationships and service standards for up to four clients.
  • Mentor junior staff and maintain open communication with internal teams.

Qualifications
Your Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Casualty or Package Underwriting and development at an insurance company.
  • Strong technical underwriting knowledge, combined with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop creative solutions for unique underwriting scenarios.
  • Familiarity with advanced pricing techniques, account servicing costs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Experience in managing complex accounts and developing marketing strategies.
  • A record of success in a results-oriented team environment, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
