The Role
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Site Operations Lead to join the Cockburn Cement team at our Munster plant. This role presents a unique opportunity to be on a family friendly 4/6 roster in the metropolitan Perth area.
Reporting to the operations superintendent, you will provide leadership and direction to the shift team who are all key contributors to delivering safe, quality, low cost and sustainable production
This role is located in Munster, WA
Responsibilities
- Be a valuable part of the operational leadership group, facilitating the success of not just your shift team but the broader operations teams.
- Determine and execute production priorities based on established routine production meetings, schedules, plan and execute daily work.
- Health and safety of all personnel including the reporting, immediate management of any environmental and WH&S incidents.
- Achieving operating budgets and contributing to improvement opportunities in the plant.
- Train and mentor production team members, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices.
What you will need to succeed
- Previous experience in a similar role (5-10 years), preferably within a 24/7 continuous manufacturing or mining environment.
- Proven experience aligned to following workplace HSE procedures, legislation policies and management systems.
- Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large-scale, continuous operating plants.
- Lead by example to exemplify the organisation's values and behaviours.
- Statutory supervisor certificate of competency will be highly regarded.
