About the role

Are you a skilled Electrician looking for a new challenge? Wolfram Limited is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Mt Carlton Mine, QLD. This is a full-time 8/6 DIDO role that will see you playing a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on site infrastructure including:

  • The site camp and administration facilities

  • Maintenance of processing plant and associated infrastructure - Site restart in 2026
  • Water & waste treatment plants
  • Various other site locations and equipment such as gensets and other small equipment
  • Carry out routine and statutory inspections of site infrastructure, plant and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and spare parts usage
  • Liaise with other teams to minimise disruption and ensure optimal performance
  • Support the continuous improvement of electrical maintenance processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Formal trade qualifications as a Electrician
  • Current QLD Electrical licence, CPR\LVR & HV switching
  • DIDO Role - Requires residence in Townsville, Cairns, Ayr, Bowen or within this region
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar mining maintenance role
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines to meet AS 3000
  • Refrigeration trade qualification is highly desirable
  • Experience with Pronto - desirable
  • A laser focus on safety and a proactive approach to risk management
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem solving skills
  • Strong electrical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
