Reporting to the Engineering Manager, we are currently recruiting for a Duty Technicianto join our experienced team in a workplace with a great culture. This is a fixed term contract until April 2026. Full-time and Part-time hours are available.

The Role:

As a member the of the Hotels' Engineering Department, the Duty Technician performs a variety of hands-on maintenance, technical assistance, administrative and record keeping tasks. The Duty Technician is also responsible for responding to requests for maintenance from Hotel guests and maintains a high standard of personal presentation, operating at all times with a guest focus.

As Duty Technician, you will

• Respond to requests for guest rooms maintenance performing such tasks as: IT troubleshooting, replacing lights and batteries, minor repairs.
• Assist the Engineering Department in daily operations, including liaising with Contractors, technical troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance tasks.
• Assist the IT Manager in providing technical support.
• Participate in developing, implementing, maintaining and assessing best practices and solutions within the Engineering Department.
• Undertake administrative and data entry tasks.

The Duty Technician contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence.

Role requirements:

• High level of grooming and personal presentation
• High level of both written and verbal communication
• Flexibility to work Weekends and evenings.
• Have availability for Saturdays and varying shifts up to 8pm finishes.
• Previous experience in a similar role or study advantageous.
• Good administrative skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Sound IT skills or ability to learn.
