Established to administer the
Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018
(Vic) (
LHL Act
), LHA is an independent agency whose work is wholly funded by licence fees from labour hire businesses. Since 2019, LHA has expanded its program of industry engagement, compliance and enforcement, growing its small and dedicated team to around 120 staff and establishing a strong track record.

LHA employees are offered hybrid and flexible working arrangements in accordance with Victorian Public Service and LHA policies. Our offices are located in Melbourne CBD and Bendigo.

About The Position
Reporting to the Manager Strategy and Governance, the Senior Risk and Governance Advisor is responsible for supporting LHA's governance frameworks and risk management function by developing policies, implementing strategies, and advising on best practices to ensure compliance and effective decision-making.

This position holds and maintains strong relationships and effective interactions with key stakeholders across LHA as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and the external Audit and Risk Committee.

  • Experienced public sector risk management professional
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, keen to contribute to improving systems and processes
  • A confident and strategic communicator and excellent writer, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality
