Northern QLD, Australia Australian Airport Lighting Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Australian Airport Lighting is currently seeking a suitably qualified electrical tradesperson for a Permanent Full-Time position in our Townsville location.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  • Onsite work and management of commercial and industrial facilities
  • Fault finding and repairs to airfield lighting
  • Panel wiring, construction and installation
  • Labour management including other electricians, apprentices and subcontractors
  • Dealing with a wide range of people in all levels of the building/subcontracting industry

The successful candidate must have the right to work in this country and must have:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence
  • LV Rescue and CPR Certificate
  • White Card
  • Current driver's licence
  • Open C class driver's licence required
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Minimum 5 years of any electrical work experience required
  • Ability to pass an AFP Security check
  • Ability to hold an ASIC
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Ability to travel within Australia and overseas
  • Be committed, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, with very good organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word and Excel
  • Previous experience working on an airfield is advantageous but not required.

The successful candidate will enjoy working to deadlines, be focused, be passionate about their work and have the ability to work under pressure when needed.
