Cellars on Carlisle, is a new outlet for the Cellars brand which will take over ownership mid June. We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and offering an extensive range of beer, wine, and spirits. We started our brand in the vibrant Bentleigh community in 2021. We take great pride in serving our local customers. Whether it's helping someone select the perfect bottle of wine, offering recommendations for their next craft beer, or assisting with cocktail essentials, we're here to make every customer experience memorable. We are bringing this model to Balaclava, Melbourne.

At Cellars Bentleigh, we are a hybrid operation that includes both liquor retail and on-premise consumption.

At Cellars on Carlisle, we will provide a takeaway service only.

To work across both locations, we are currently seeking a friendly, dedicated, and knowledgeable liquor enthusiast to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for beverages and an eagerness to learn in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a friendly and approachable manner.

  • Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences and needs.

  • Maintain product knowledge across our full range of craft beer, wine, and spirits.

  • Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately.

  • Pour wines for sit-in customers

  • Taste products with staff and suppliers

  • Receiving and putting away deliveries

  • Ensure the store is well-stocked, tidy, and organised.

  • Follow all store procedures and policies, including safety and security guidelines.

  • Be a positive team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a great work environment.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A passionate interest in alcohol beverages, with a willingness to expand your knowledge.

  • Previous retail, hospitality or customer service experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills – you'll be speaking with a range of customers, so it's important to be confident, polite, and helpful.

  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently and as part of a team.

  • Current RSA certificate is a must.

  • MUST be available on weekends, weekdays, and nights.

  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
