Role: Project Manager (UiPath Automation)
Location of work: Canberra (Hybrid)
Contract duration: 03 to 06 months contract + Possibility to extend up to 12 months
Security clearance: Baseline security clearance
Job details
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of UiPath automation initiatives within the client environment. This is a client-facing role requiring strong project management expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to oversee multiple streams of work, including Business Analysis, Solution Architecture, and Development. The successful candidate will ensure project outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations. The role requires a proactive leader who can manage risks, coordinate resources, and maintain clear communication with both internal teams and client stakeholders.
Responsibilities: The Project Manager will be responsible for the following deliverables and activities, including but not limited to:
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for the UiPath automation program.
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, and client stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Monitor and report on project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to senior management.
• Facilitate project governance meetings, workshops, and status updates with stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project financials, including budget tracking and cost reporting.
• Support change management activities, ensuring smooth adoption of automation solutions.
• Oversee project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and risk registers.
Desirable skills:
• Proven experience in project management within automation, IT, or digital transformation projects.
• Familiarity with UiPath RPA technologies or similar automation platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
• Experience managing projects in secure ICT environments or government settings preferred.
