Join Our Team - Labourer for Reactive Maintenance and Programmed Water/Sewer Maintenance teams
Are you ready to kickstart your career in municipal works? Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated Labourer to join our Reactive Maintenance and Programmed Water Maintenance team. In this role, you'll assist with a variety of tasks related to sewer maintenance and gain hands-on experience with plant, tools, and equipment. No prior experience? No problem We offer on-the-job training to help you succeed.
What We're Looking For:
- Driver's Licence: Current 'MR' Class Driver's Licence.
- WHS Competency: Hold a White Card (CPCWHS1001) for working safely in the construction industry or be willing to obtain one prior to starting.
- Experience: Construction and maintenance labourer experience is desirable but not required—on-the-job training will be provided.
What We Offer:
- Permanent Full-Time: Based at the Charlton Depot.
- Work Hours: Regular hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a 9-day fortnight (one rostered day off every two weeks).
- Competitive Salary: Fortnightly base rate of $2,423.70 gross, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- Additional Benefits: Variable allowances, on-call, overtime and penalty rates, wet weather allowance, and live sewer allowance.
