Wicked Sister is a leading Australian chilled desserts & snack manufacturer supplying major supermarkets & food service channels nationally.

The Opportunity

Join our growing Research & Innovation team supporting the development & innovation of our popular range of chilled desserts and snacks assisting our Food Technologists through a range of activities including but are not limited to:

  • With sourcing ingredients and product trials to optimize taste, texture and shelf life
  • Undertaking benchwork, pilot trials support and raw materials review
  • Conducting lab work such as pH, viscosity and trend microbial testing
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing technical reports
  • Participating in QC processes including performing sensory evaluations & testing to ensure products meet required standards

About You

We are on the lookout for an individual with a genuine passion for chilled desserts & snacks, eager to learn and grow in the field of food technology, along with the below key requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in food science (preferable) or Food Technology
  • Knowledge of food product development and food processing techniques, preferably in chilled food or dairy categories
  • Basic understanding of food chemistry, microbiology, and processing techniques is essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present findings
  • Practical ability to run pilot plant equipment in a safe and hygienic manner
  • Ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions to improve product development and quality
  • Meticulous and accurate in conducting experiments and documenting results
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment and support senior colleagues in various projects
  • Openness to learning new techniques, technologies, and industry regulations as the field of food technology evolves
  • A passion for food and a keen interest in exploring new culinary trends and consumer preferences
