The BI Manager – Projects and Governance plays a pivotal role in shaping and embedding Business Intelligence (BI) standards across Optus. This position leads governance, training, and communication initiatives to drive BI adoption and maturity, while also managing financials and resources to ensure BI investments deliver strategic value. Your day to day will consist of
- Develop and maintain BI governance frameworks and standards across the organisation.
- Lead training and capability uplift programs to enhance BI maturity.
- Manage internal BI communications, including newsletters and knowledge-sharing forums.
- Oversee dashboard rationalisation to streamline reporting and retain high-impact assets.
- Allocate and prioritise pooled BI resources based on business needs.
Track and report on the business value delivered through BI initiativ What makes you perfect for the role?
Solid background in BI leadership, with experience driving governance and strategic programs.
- Hands-on expertise in Power BI and/or Tableau, with a track record of successful enterprise-wide adoption.
- Proven ability to design and deliver BI training and engagement strategies.
- Experience managing BI portfolios, including resource allocation and dashboard optimisation.
- Strong financial management skills, including oversight of Opex and Capex budgets.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence senior leaders and align BI initiatives with business goals.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and mentoring high-performing BI teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, analytics, or information systems; postgraduate studies in governance or data disciplines are a plus
