As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled IT‑focused Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our Finance Division’s Reporting Team and turn data into insights that drive strategic and commercial decisions.
About the Role
As a BI Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain PowerBI reports, dashboards, and data models, ensuring stakeholders have accurate and actionable insights.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models based on business requirements.
- Write, optimise, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and data warehousing.
- Build robust business logic, support testing and deployment, and follow BI development best practices.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through structured ETL processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and end‑users to deliver actionable insights.
- Monitor and optimise performance across BI solutions and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BI development practices and share knowledge across teams.
- Support data governance, privacy, and security compliance.
About You
We’re seeking a technically strong and experienced BI developer with a passion for transforming data into insights. You will ideally have:
- A background in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, and a relevant tertiary qualification.
- At least 3 years’ experience working with Power BI, including report and data model development.
- Strong SQL programming skills and experience with relational databases.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Exposure to tools and technologies such as DBT, MS Azure, Python, Fivetran, Azure DevOps is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise work effectively.
