Family-owned Australian global business that has built a reputation of creating innovative construction tools and power equipment that delivers vastly improved efficiency and productivity outcomes. Makinex also distributes a range of market leading earthmoving equipment including mini dumpers and skid steer loaders.

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in understanding and educating the market on our specialised products, with a focus on achieving sales penetration success.

This role involves approximately 75% travel with regular customer visits and account management responsibilities. A fully maintained company vehicle will be provided.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Product Development:

  • Execute the sales plan.
  • Demonstrate products to potential clients effectively.
  • Engage in self-education regarding products and market trends.
  • Compile competitor landscape information and customer feedback for internal review.

Business Development and Territory Account Management:

  • Execute call plans to engage new and existing customers in NSW.
  • Maintain CRM and deals pipeline using HubSpot.
  • Achieve targeted goals, delivering profitable outcomes for long-term business growth.
  • Manage time and priorities through efficient monthly planning.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with market stakeholders and clients.
  • Attend trade events as required.
  • Conduct customer inductions when earthmoving equipment is sold in the territory.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Autonomous work capability with self-reliance.
  • Competent in demonstrating products and equipment.
  • Ability to align with the sales plan effectively.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and CRM software.
  • Excellent communication and value proposition skills.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Passionate and driven with a structured mindset.
  • Good time management skills and professional attitude
  • Experience with earthmoving equipment is desirable.
