The Role

Reporting to the Underground Mining Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all statutory survey requirements are met across the underground operations at the Mt Magnet mining hub:

  • Lead and allocate survey resources to support efficient underground mining operations.
  • Ensure survey activities are accurate, timely, and compliant with designs and legislation.
  • Maintain correct and current survey records in line with company and regulatory standards.
  • Provide accurate emergency plans and regular survey reports to the Underground Mining Manager.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop mine surveyors to build technical capability within the team.
  • Contribute to safety by conducting infield verifications and actively supporting risk management systems.

About You

You're a practical team player, with established technical skills and a collaborative mindset. You deliver accurate, efficient results safely and consistently. 

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Authorised Mine Surveyors Certificate – Grade 1 (essential).
  • Underground mine surveying experience with statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Surpac, MSO, Leica instruments, CMS/C-ALS, GPS (Trimble), UAV software (Agisoft), and Quickslope.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and data management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • Current WA "C" Class Driver's Licence and National Police Clearance.
  • First Aid certification.
