The Opportunity

Our client is undertaking a significant transformation in the field services space, focused on enhancing both employee and customer experiences through innovative technology. As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering solution architecture that supports strategic business and IT objectives. This is an opportunity to influence a high-impact initiative, collaborate with senior leaders, and deliver meaningful outcomes across the organisation.

This is a Sydney based role that offers hybrid working with 2 days work from home. Unfortunately sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.

The Role

As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing and driving the architecture strategy that underpins the client's new field services capability.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and implementing end-to-end solution strategies aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Collaborating with business leaders, process owners, and IT teams to translate requirements into practical solution designs.
  • Providing technical guidance and oversight throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring best practice, governance, and regulatory alignment.
  • Developing architectural artifacts including roadmaps, standards, and design principles to guide solution decisions.
  • Conducting system assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and recommending innovative solutions that drive value.
  • Supporting governance processes to ensure architectural consistency and integrity across field services solutions.

About You

In order to be a successful applicant you will bring extensive experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect in complex environments, ideally within the utilities sector.

You will also have:

  • A proven record of designing and implementing architecture for large-scale, multi-layered transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of field service management platforms, enterprise applications, and SAP systems (including FI, CO, PM, MM, PS, IS-U, BW, BTP, Integration Suite, GRC, and UX solutions).
  • Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud technologies, integration, and application architecture.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, balancing technical depth with clear communication.
  • Experience developing strategies, roadmaps, and future-state solution designs aligned to best practice methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
