About the role

As the Food & Beverage Supervisor at Peppers The Hills Lodge, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service and the smooth operation of the hotel's dining and bar facilities. This full-time position is located in the North West & Hills District of Sydney, NSW. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the front-of-house team and optimise the guest experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and train the front-of-house team, including servers, bartenders and hosts
  • Ensure effective scheduling and staff management to meet operational needs
  • Monitor inventory and place orders for food, beverages and supplies
  • Assist with managing the restaurant's budget and procurement processes
  • Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
  • Respond to customer inquiries and address any service-related issues
  • Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Support the Food & Beverage Manager with special events and promotions

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in cash handling, inventory management and reporting
  • Familiarity with food and beverage operations, including menus, recipes and merchandising
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends
