Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-level compliance, tax, due diligence, and strategic advice across a complex portfolio
  • Conduct in-depth reviews and research to ensure regulatory compliance and commercial insight
  • Identify opportunities in tax planning, business restructuring, and growth strategies
  • Review complex financials and tax returns, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, run internal training sessions, and lead by example
  • Oversee workflow planning, delegate effectively, and manage competing priorities
  • Represent the firm at networking events and contribute to business development
  • Track and contribute to team KPIs including budgets, turnaround times, and client satisfaction

About You

  • 10+ years' experience in business services within a mid-tier or boutique CPA firm
  • A full CPA or CA qualification
  • Advanced technical understanding of Australian tax and accounting issues
  • Proven ability to win and retain clients, manage a sizable book, and mentor junior staff
  • Experience with advisory services such as 3-way forecasts, due diligence, valuations, and management reporting (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset
  • Familiarity with relevant systems commonly used in business services and accounting
