Head of Cybersecurity

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Cybersecurity (APAC) to lead cybersecurity operations, governance, and transformation initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the regional cybersecurity strategy in alignment with global objectives, driving operational resilience, and influencing executive leadership and stakeholders across the region.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong operational and strategic cybersecurity experience who is looking to expand their scope across APAC, influence senior stakeholders, and take ownership of regional security leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and run the APAC cybersecurity strategy aligned with global and local needs. Lead risk assessments, incident response, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure compliance and lead audits, vulnerability tests, and security-by-design across projects.
  • Drive key initiatives like Zero Trust and cloud security. Manage risks and work with global teams.
  • Lead a team of existing security professionals across multiple countries.
  • Work with business and IT leaders to embed security. Run awareness programs and represent APAC globally.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior/regional leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.) and APAC-specific regulations.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-country security operations and major incident response (preferred)
  • Experience across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem security environments.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills.
