Your Role

We're looking for a strategic leader to join our Retail Insurance Australia (RIA) business as Insurance & Financial Risk Executive Manager. This is a unique opportunity to influence how capital, insurance and reinsurance risk management come together across multiple entities, and to uplift risk maturity across a complex and evolving portfolio.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, governance and technical expertise. You'll lead the continued uplift of insurance risk maturity across RIA, challenge capital management and reinsurance structures to optimise outcomes across RIA and its entities. You'll work closely across RIA and with actuarial, finance and Group Risk teams, and represent RIA across key committees and working groups.

You'll also play a critical role in enabling our Product, Pricing & Governance (PP&G) team to deliver on its strategic objectives, helping align new parts of the business and bring them to a consistent level of maturity.

This is a permanent role, open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) and Meanjin (Brisbane).

About You

• Ability to uplift financial and insurance risk maturity, embed frameworks, and influence senior leaders across the business.
• Deep understanding of reinsurance including experience in challenging reinsurance program design and allocation methodologies for both reinsurance and natural perils.
• Strong grasp of insurance industry, regulation, risk frameworks, and appropriate governance routines.
• Comfortable working across functions, actuarial, finance, reinsurance and Group Risk to influence and drive outcomes.
• Confident in constructively challenging, leading change, and representing RIA across committees and working groups.
• Enabling the Executive General Manager and Product, Pricing & Governance (PPG) to meet their objectives.
