Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Foreman - Structural Steel Fabrication located in Dandenong South, VIC. The Foreman will oversee and manage structural steel fabrication processes, ensure quality standards are met, and coordinate daily activities with team members. The role includes supervising the use of heavy equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and managing maintenance tasks as necessary. Effective communication and collaboration with clients, engineers, and workers is essential to ensure project timelines and objectives are achieved.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication / Boilermaking)
  • 5+ years' experience in structural steel fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role, desirable
  • Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication and erection drawings
  • Hands-on welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG/Stick/Flux Core)
  • Experience with Heavy Equipment and Safety Protocols
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards (AS 4100, AS/NZS 1554 & AS/NZS 5131) is advantageous
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
