Your new role

As the Senior Manager – Housing Services, you will play a pivotal role in positioning housing services for growth across Victoria and Tasmania, building on Uniting's reputation as a values-driven, consumer-focused housing provider.

In this role, you will lead tenancy and housing teams across Victoria, ensuring:

  • Services are consumer-focused and informed by the voice of renters.
  • A strong culture of community engagement and participation.
  • Delivery of best practice tenancy and property management.
  • Compliance with legislation, regulatory performance standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Sector-leading customer service that sets a standard in the community housing sector.
  • Embedding renter participation to shape thriving, connected communities aligned with Uniting's placemaking framework.

There is flexibility in where the role is based, with expected travel regularly to other Uniting worksites with Victoria.

About the Program

Uniting has a portfolio of over 880 tenancies across Victoria. Our community housing activities include transitional and long-term social housing, and integrated housing and support programs such as Transitional Housing Management. We also operate 12 independent living retirement villages across Melbourne and Gippsland

Your skills and experience

You are an exceptional leader and influencer with a proven track record in housing or related sectors. You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in housing, social policy, community services, business management, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in community or social housing.
  • A comprehensive understanding of current trends, practices, policies, and legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to embed consumer participation and renter voice in service delivery.
  • Skills to coach, empower and inspire diverse and high-performing teams.
  • Strong capability in compliance, risk management, and reporting.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and setting sector standards.

You are values-driven, strategic, and passionate about the provision of social and affordable housing that empowers individuals, families, and communities.
