Peter Stevens Motorworld is a dynamic, family-owned and managed business in Ballarat and Geelong.

We are looking for a motivated Parts Interpreter to join the team at our head office location.

About the role

Working within our dedicated Parts team you'll provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers — ensuring the accurate identification, supply, and invoicing of automotive parts.

You'll work closely with our service and workshop teams across multiple locations, as well as retail and trade customers, to ensure the right part is delivered at the right time.

You will have a can do attitude, the ability to manage multiple tasks and great communication skills.

Key Tasks

  • Manage incoming inquiry and internal requests via email, phone and sms chat
  • Identify and source automotive parts using manufacturer catalogues and systems
  • Prepare accurate quotes and invoices for parts sales
  • Support the service department with timely parts supply
  • Organise delivery of parts to external customers and locations
  • Build strong relationships with trade and retail customers
  • Manage stock including ordering, receipting, delivery follow-ups and returns
  • Maintain a tidy and well-organised parts counter and storeroom
  • Uphold company values and deliver exceptional customer service at all times

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter or in a similar automotive role
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and parts catalogues
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff and senior management
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • The ability to work in a busy, team environment
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
