BROSNA TOWN CONSTRUCTION PTY LTD seek to employ a Civil Engineer on a full-time basis for various projects in the Sydney area.

This is a long-term role and require genuine applicants seeking long-term employment. This is essential to maintain a continuing professional point of contact within our firm for tiers 1, 2 & 3 Contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

· Determined construction methods, selected materials, and ensured compliance with quality standards, WHS and environmental requirements across all site activities.

· Provided technical support during construction phases, promptly addressing arising issues to minimize delays and keep projects on schedule.

· Recorded and evaluated daily events and activities in site diaries to monitor progress, identify risks, and improve productivity.

· Supported the implementation of project quality, WHS and environmental management plans, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards.

· Conducted toolbox inspections, maintained checklists, and completed documentation to support compliance and project monitoring.

· Created and updated construction programs and work schedules, adjusting as required to meet project deadlines and ensure optimal workforce allocation.

· Prepared quotations for labour and materials, ensuring materials were procured in advance of the construction program.

· Organised and directed site labour, maximising utilisation of plant, equipment, and resources to achieve efficiency.

· Reduced construction costs through effective negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors and implemented cost-saving improvements for site-related activities.

· Developed and implemented creative solutions to complex problems, ensuring continuity of works and minimisation of risks.

· Prepared regular status reports for management, highlighting progress, challenges, and corrective actions.

The successful applicant must demonstrate the following competencies:

· A degree in Civil Engineering

· 1-2+ years previous experience as an Engineer in the civil industry

· A current White Card & Drivers Licence

· A strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practices

· Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills

· A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to show initiative and take ownership

· Strong communication and organisation skills, including strong attention to detail

· Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve

· Confidence in using technology, including CRM-based applications and proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet evolving deadlines

· Competency in reading and interpreting constructions plans

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,500.00 – $78,000.00 per year
