About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join the manufacturing team at the Prestons facility. This is a hands-on role, supporting production by ensuring equipment operates efficiently, reliably, and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
Work with injection moulding machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conduct basic fabrication.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
Contribute to the improvement and development of maintenance procedures.
Support and mentor apprentices, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
What You'll Bring
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Cert III Engineering Mechanical or equivalent).
Experience in plastics and/or electrical manufacturing is highly desirable.
Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance systems.
Basic machining and fabrication skills are an advantage.
A proactive approach with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
