Maintenance Technician Factory

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on, reliable Assistant Maintenance Fitter to support the maintenance and smooth operation of our factory machinery. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who is eager to learn and willing to assist in a variety of roles across the business when needed.

You will work closely with our Maintenance Fitter and production team to ensure equipment is maintained in safe and efficient working order, and you'll pitch in across the factory wherever an extra set of hands is needed.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assist with routine maintenance and servicing of production equipment and machinery

·       Help diagnose mechanical faults and support breakdown repairs

·       Assist with installing, adjusting, or replacing mechanical parts (belts, motors, conveyors, etc.)

·       Keep workshop and maintenance areas clean and organised

·       Maintain basic tools and equipment, and ensure parts are ready when required

·       Support production or packing teams during downtime or busy periods

·       Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment

What We're Looking For:

·       Some mechanical aptitude or trade assistant experience (advantageous but not essential)

·       A willingness to learn and follow instructions

·       A proactive attitude and team-first mentality

·       Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet

·       A good communicator, reliable and punctual

·       Willingness to help in other areas of the factory when required (e.g., packing, cleaning, production)

Desirable (but not essential):

·       Basic knowledge of food production hygiene and safety

·       Experience in a factory, food, or manufacturing environment
