
Business Services Manager

The Business Services Manager oversees the operational, financial, and administrative functions of the business to ensure efficient performance and compliance. This role supports senior management by streamlining business processes, managing support services, and enabling project teams to focus on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily business operations, ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
- Manage office administration, IT systems, and business support services.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems for efficiency.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payroll compliance.
- Support directors with business planning and performance tracking.
Human Resources & Compliance
- Manage employee onboarding, contracts, and HR records.
- Support training, performance reviews, and staff wellbeing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, WHS standards, and company policies.
Client & Stakeholder Support
- Support tender submissions, proposals, and client presentations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Provide management with reports on KPIs, risks, and opportunities.
Leadership & Development
- Supervise administrative/support staff, delegating effectively.
- Mentor team members and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across business functions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of business operations, financial management, and HR processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero, ERP/CRM).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
