About the Opportunity
As our Clinical Nurse Educator, you will:
- Lead with clinical expertise and confidence – Provide strong, hands-on leadership within the perioperative environment, guiding the team to deliver safe, evidence-based care and ensuring optimum patient outcomes across the surgical journey.
- Support and mentor a high-performing team – Act as a role model and educator, fostering collaboration, resilience, and professional growth in a fast-paced environment, while promoting a culture of learning and continuous development.
- Deliver excellence in patient care – Utilise your advanced post-anaesthetic clinical knowledge to provide compassionate, patient-centred care, ensuring every individual feels supported, valued, and safe throughout their surgical experience.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement – Contribute to service enhancement by identifying opportunities for improvement, and leading initiatives that streamline patient flow, strengthen quality standards, and achieve the best possible surgical outcomes.

About You
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) plus post graduate qualifications relevant to Post Anaesthetic Recovery unit and at least 3 years full time equivalent clinical experience in the specialty of the specified post graduate qualification - Perioperative nursing/Post Anaesthetic Recovery care.
- Demonstrated effective communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and information technology skills to provide complex specialty services and influence innovative nursing practice.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and clinical leadership in the area of specialty, including ability to develop nursing speciality clinical practice and service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
