About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to join and lead our young and enthusiastic team at the pokie-free East Village Hotel Balmain. As the Bar Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our vibrant bar. This is a casual position based in Balmain East, NSW 2041. The EVH has a focus on independent beer, great wine and exceeds-expectation cocktail service.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the bar, including staff supervision, inventory management and adherence to health and safety standards
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining and drinking experience for all our guests
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of creative cocktail menus, promotions, and special events
  • Maintaining accurate records, such as sales data and stock control
  • Leading and training a team of bar staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture and inspiring a passion for product.
  • Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar bar supervisor or management role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide a high-quality guest experience
  • Proficiency in bar operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and stock control
  • Thorough knowledge of liquor licensing laws and a commitment to responsible service of alcohol
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a drive to contribute to the success of the East Village Hotel Balmain
