About the Role

We are currently seeking a Farm Hand to join our team at our pistachio orchard in Robinvale, Victoria. This role will assist with a range of hands-on tasks associated with the day-to-day operations of the property.

The successful applicant would be available to work some weekends and shift work (including nights) when required throughout the season.

It is an excellent entry-level role for someone looking to kick start their career in the horticultural industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tractor operation and general machinery maintenance
  • Tree pruning with a chainsaw and secateurs
  • Harvest machinery operation
  • Irrigation maintenance
  • Orchard maintenance and manual field work
  • Land/soil preparation, spraying of fertilizer and pesticide solutions
  • Orchard development work

Skills and Experience

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating agricultural equipment
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Team player and willingness to learn new skills
  • Safety-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working autonomously
  • Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle essential
  • Must have fulltime Australian work rights
