- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service during busy periods.
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations when needed.
- Assist with preparing and serving light meals, sandwiches, and salads.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Restock food displays and beverage fridges as required.
- Arrive on time and prepare the café for the day's trade.
- Turn on coffee machines, grinders, fridges, and any required equipment.
- Set up the counter, displays, and condiment stations neatly.
- Check stock levels for milk, coffee beans, and takeaway supplies.
- Ensure all areas are clean, tidy, and ready for customers before opening.
- Complete end-of-day cleaning: wipe benches, clean coffee machines, empty bins.
- Restock fridges and supplies for the next day.
- Turn off and clean all equipment as per café standards.
- Ensure the café is locked and secured (if responsible).
- Process payments using the POS system accurately.
- Keep the café area clean and organized, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Support the team with daily tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
- Report any equipment issues or stock shortages to the manager promptly.
